Electrical Infrastructure Assessments

All electrical installations and infrastructure in South Africa need to comply with the Electricity Regulation Act 4 of 2006 and the Grid Code. The assessments are conducted to provide the client with a detailed view of the current state of the installed assets, maintenance, and refurbishment requirements to ensure compliance with the relevant standards. These assessments provide but are not limited to the following:
  • Identification of defects through visual inspection and infrared scanning.
  • Maintenance and refurbishment requirements.
  • Legal Compliance of the infrastructure with prescribed standards.
  • Comprehensive report on the findings.
Further to that the following can be established.
  • Installed asset reliability and performance.
  • Availability of support from OEMs.
  • Availability of spares from OEMs.

Electrical Infrastructure Construction

  • Underground cable network construction and associated equipment installation.
  • Overhead line network (LV/MV) construction and associated equipment installation
  • Streetlight installations and retrofitting.

GMR2.1 Appointment (OHS Act Responsibilities)

Nhlansi Projects (Pty) Ltd provides the following services for factories, plants and utilities requiring a person who is competent in terms of the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993.
  • Legal Appointment in terms of the OHS Act (Section 2 of General Machinery Regulations) and further details on this service may be requested via e-mail, a tailor-made solution can be developed after discussing with the Managing Director.

Demand Side Management

  • Investigations on usage of solar or customer owned generation and determination of return on investment (ROI).

Nhlansi Projects (Pty) Ltd provides clients with programmes for operating and maintaining plant and equipment. This programme aims to conform to the System and Network Distribution Code as set out by NERSA. Our services include but are not limited to the following:
  • Establishment of a programme to achieve adequate maintenance. This programme should be inclusive of scope, maintenance intervals, safety requirements, operating and performance tracking.
